Dr. Sameer Patel is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Diseases and Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine He earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College, was a pediatric resident at Komansky Children’s Hospital of Weill Cornell, and completed his pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Patel also received a Master in Public Health from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. His clinical and research interests are focused on antimicrobial stewardship and improving healthcare quality.
