Award for Excellence in Quality Improvement 2024
The annual VON Award for Excellence in Quality Improvement recognizes VON member teams who demonstrate dedication to VON core values of quality improvement: measurement, evidence, families, equity, and collaboration.
The selective award recognizes six hospitals for their work in 2024. These multidisciplinary teams demonstrated their dedication to VON principles of quality improvement by meeting criteria including:
- Participation in a VON quality improvement collaborative
- Commitment of support from senior leadership
- Regular meetings with multidisciplinary team
- Inclusion of family partner on QI team
- Completion of VON’s Quality Improvement Foundations course
- Demonstration of quality improvement performance through identifying a SMART aim, applying formal QI methods, and measuring results
