eNICQ upgrade was required by January 31, 2017

The latest version of eNICQ contains a number of important updates. As of January 31st, 2017, VON Member Centers must upgrade to the latest version of eNICQ, 5.5.1, to continue submitting data via eNICQ to VON.

Updates include:

  • Required changes for infants born in 2017 – centers must upgrade to enter or submit any 2017 data
  • Security and logging improvements to better protect center data and maintain compliance with HIPAA and the HITECH Act
  • Enhancements to allow centers to submit additional data items in order to obtain Time Series Reporting based on discharge dates

As of January 31st, 2017, records submitted from earlier versions of eNICQ are not being accepted.

Upgrading to eNICQ 5.5.1 may require assistance from center database administration teams and IT departments. Information about upgrading as well as a download of the new version are available at the eNICQ 5 home page. If you have not already begun working on the upgrade process with your IT team we recommend that you begin immediately. As of January 31st, 2017, records submitted from earlier versions of eNICQ will not be accepted.
